Steven Ward, Managing Director

Steven founded Profound Services Limited in 2006 and has developed the business commercially through identifying key clients and building successful long-term business relationships.  He has worked with organisations across the local business community to identify their needs - including recruitment and workforce development programmes.  Steven will now head up Profound’s national expansion plans. A former player of Durham County Cricket Club, Steven is an avid supporter of Sunderland football club.

Brian Ward, Corporate Services Director

Brian is responsible for the delivery of 'robust' HR, Finance and Quality procedures as required by the business. Typical day-to-day duties include: assisting the Corporate Services Manager with all aspects of employee relations through resourcing and development as well as company finance and financial compliance with our funders' contractual obligations. Passionate about his role, Brian is committed to ensuring that Profound has the people, ethics, systems and processes in place to make them the provider of choice for clients. Brian finds his role both challenging and motivating. He is an amateur photographer as well as a keen golfer and tennis player.

Gary Ward, Operations Director

Gary has been with the company since inception and is responsible for the delivery of high quality programmes and qualifications as required contractually and through employer demand. Gary is also responsible for overseeing the management of all the companies contracts/programmes as well as maintenance, knowledge and understanding of funding methodologies. Gary has gained considerable experience working on government funded contracts including Train to Gain and ESF funded projects and is now responsible for the development and introduction of apprenticeships into Profound's portfolio.Gary is an active sportsman, a qualified cricket coach and enjoys playing Cricket and Football.
